Smile Newbie - this is Germany calling

Greetings and Happy New Year to all you Jag lovers. Just a short intro about me. I've owned quite a variety of cars from Ford to VW to Volvo and I reckon I am now going to settle with these two cars for a while. One for winter is a Saab 9000 CSE with all mod-cons, some of which don't work ( naturally). My summer car since July 2014 is an XJ308. I have always wanted to drive a Jag and I had the oppportunity to buy one last year. It has the usual sagging ceiling and a few small rust spots around the rear window but I love it. The car purrs when its driven and it is effortless in all modes of driving. I took it to the south of France and it even didn't mind the flash floods caused by torrential rain. Not that I used it as an acquatic but I am used to english cars stopping in the rain when things get too wet.
I shall probably be a regular here when searching for remedies or parts. Oh yes, I am located near Darmstadt in Germany.

Thats all for now.
Paul

Hello Paul, welcome to the forum. You have come to right place for any information that you may need.

I know about the sagging headliner, had the same problem.Didn't cost very much to have a new one installed.

Come to think of it I have never had the problem of some of the English cars had in really heavy rain, like the mini,it just saw a puddle on stopped running.

In the meantime enjoy the Jag,Neil
