Newbie to the Jag Forum
Hello;
My name is Doug and I use the PaPaDoug59 as my forum name.
I am 55 years old and I have been around British cars since the age of 6 when my father bought a Bugeye Sprite for his work vehicle : (
I am now about to buy a 2000 S type Jaguar and as I do most of my own service work I am hoping to make good use of the collective wisdom that can only be found in forums.
I have owned my 1960 Bugye since 1985 and I also have 6 MG Midgets. I have more spares for Spridgets than any sane person should be allowed : )
I live in Platteville, WI just 20 minutes northeast of the tri-states of WI, IL, and Ia near Dubuque, IA.
Should anyone being motoring through the area and have problems with their British car feel free to call and we will gladly help if we are able.

Hello, Doug,
I think the Happy Frog is such a Cute car!!
Sanity is not something you'll find a lot of here. Expertise, knowledge and willingness to share, yes. But you'll fit right in as we have a Dearth of sanity. Well except maybe for Doug Dwyer and Grant Francis (I'm not so sure about Grant), both of whom you'll meet eventually.
Welcome from ElinorB.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I will post pictures as soon as we take delivery on our 2000 S type which is currently in Illinois. Busy week with the Thanksgiving holiday upon us and we are expecting 4 to 6 inches of snow with wind gusts to 30 mph. Might be digging out for a day or two.
