Newbie from the Netherlands
Im reading on this forum for some time.
But now, as i bought a Jaguar 2 weeks ago, i need to introduce myself.
Living in the west of the Netherlands with my wife and 2 boys.
The oldest also a real petrolhead ...
Im a big car/bike enthousiast, whole my life i had projects in the garage.
From little projects to big projects, nothing was to crazy.
I always had some kind of list what i wanted to own.
I must say im not delicated to 1 brand, there are so many beautifull cars/bikes, everyone has his charme!
Now, as age begins to kick in, im looking for more comfort and class.
I sold my Opel GT (aka Sky Saturn in the US) a few weeks ago.
I had this convertible for 3 years, but driving an automatic for daily and the roof was not automatic, it was time for something new.
In my search a jaguar F-type convertible was added to my list, which was very small.
I always like cars which you don't see often on the streets, so no BMW z4 or Porsche 718 ...
My new f-type convertible should at leat be an v6s or v8, the electric roof was already standard and overhere they are all automatic.
Color wise it is difficult, i prefered the british racing green or lunar grey.
I looked at some cars but none of them had the wow-factor ...
After looking at you-tube it was more clear it had to be an v8, also as invenstment i think it the better choice.
One day my eye catches a "black" v8 coupe.
It was located in Germany, a 625km drive form me.
But this car was in my head all the time, and i decided to take a look.
I stil don't know if this was a good thing, but when we saw it i was immediately sold.
I was looking for a convertible and not a "black" car.
But the picture was perfect for me ...
So our newest member of the Family, Oxy (shourt for onyx) a f-type v8r in status grey.
The color is so nice, pictures can't do any justice to the color.
It is dark grey almost black, but the metallic really pops like rainbow.
So i have to invest a paintcoating and some good cleaning products.
The car has every option there was for it and has low millage.
Sure i'm going to miss the roof but the panaramic roof makes it little hard.
But i find the coupe so much nice than the convertible, it makes me much happier to look at ...
To do list:
- paintcoating
- tailight upgrade to facelift, but i'm not sure
- P7 frontgrill, also not sure
Some former projects:
Upgraded with 20' rims, recaro cs seats, rpi exhaust, and some little cosmetic thouches
upgraded with k20 honda engine and rotrex sc, special wheels from japan a lots more ...
