Hi guys/gals, just wanted to say hello. Found this forum by accident today and glad I did. My old forum was mostly UK members.

Own a midnight blue Jaguar S-Type for a couple of years and, in spite of some "issues" still love the look and feel of the car. That being said, I'm glad the d*** thing is still under warranty!!

More later, just wanted to say hello.

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome.

East Ft.Lauderdale here, near the beach. Uploaded a pic, but not sure what happened
to it? (Maybe it willshow later.)

Have a 2000 S Type 3.0L I bought couple of years ago, MidnightBlue with Ivory. A smooth ride that catches eyes.

More soon.

That picture thing that I think ur talking about doesn't really work..at least for me.

To get a picture up go to the thing underneath all the smileys on the left side of the screen, where it says file. Just to the right there is a link that says click here to upload. That's how I put up pictures at least, then embed it in the post if you want...so we can see it before we click on it.

We shouldn't be offended, because it's true, we are not "REAL" jaguars! The fact is that the last REAL jaguar was made in 1989! After that, Ford began to offer Ford parts for the car, and the truth is that the company has actually benefited from this and to be honest, the only crappy part about our cars is the interior...(which ford makes) haha! I live in North Miami Beach, about 5 mins from sunny isles. I'm glad to see the south florida crowd growing. Maybe we can get a meet together sometime soon!

Some peopel will say my car is the last real Jagaur just because it was designed by Jaguar, I believe the XJ40 project began in the mid seventies. But all the cars now are still built by jag in england, so it's stupid to say there not real jags...which I believe I made the mistake of saying several months ago Big dream

I got over the whole, Ford/Jaguar/Not Real/ bull crap! After sitting down and looking at the facts, I realized that facts are facts. We are now Jaguar Ford's! REAL Jaguars stoped being built when Ford took a part of em!

But what makes a car a real jaguar, If they are built with jaguar parts in England by jaguar designers, seems like they are jags to me.

Like the one thing I agree with jeremy clarkson on is who cares who owns the company specifically. people don't like jag for some reason because it's american own...but if some blokes in England buy stock in ford, then doesnt that make it British owned, like who gives a Damn am I right. And if ford owning jaguar meant jaguars are more reliable now, then I would prefer to have nice American owned jaguars.

let me get an Amen

Jaguars are British cars whoever owns them now, always have been always will be!
Its not just a company, its a global brand, a statement!
Same with Ford, an American car company that will always be American no matter if they were bought out by a Jap company tomorrow .....god forbid!

Man I'll go to war with the Japs before I'll let them buy ford. They don't have an army so it would be a quick war.

I feel like people in America forget how we got so powerful. From industry. If we let those Japanese com[anies get all the bussiness, it's only inevitable that they will become the global power from all their money. They probably building an army of robots right now

That's not even the right joke to make. The X typ shares a chasis with the taurus, but that's it. The S type has nothing in common with a taurus.

The XJ is a sexy car, but the S looks much more modern and curvy! I WOULD be caught dead in any Jag, especially an R! The XJR is ultra luxurious and just as fast as any other Jag. The Super V8 is also nice!
