Newbie from West Yorkshire UK
Hi,
So after a couple of weeks of umming and arring which car to take to the Nurburgring later in the year, and finally coming to the conclusion I can't afford to smash up the wife's daily Nissan 350z.. we set to looking for a car to take over with some power, style and comfort.
Well today, we headed down to Leicester and picked up this bad boy:
4 litres, an Eaton 'charger wailing away and absolute luxury, electric everything...
Chuffed :-)
Ok, productive weekend.
New exhaust manifolds, new downpipes, supercharger rebuilt, new belts and now running like a dream!
OK, not as fast as my Peugeot 306 track car - but the XJ does weigh 1800kg!!

Great looking car ...love the colour . Isnt it great to have a DIY attitude ?? Mine's gone I'm 69 with a bad back , so I now pay a man /garage to do it . Enjoy Germany . Havnt seen the ring since Clarkeson screamed a turbo diesel S type round it on Top Gear. I had a 08 PUG 308 SE 150 Turbo Auto , road car . Just remind me not to buy another Peugeot ....

Welcome to the forum jammapic,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you have already found your way to the X300 tech section so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in this country.
Enjoy the forums.

Although the X300 and X308 look very similar, the later model has a lot more punch.
That StarTAC phone is a rare bonus as most PO's take them out and put them on eBay!
I had one in my 2001 X308. Used to divert my regular mobile to it when driving. All the benefits of a Bluetooth phone install without the cost of updating.

Stainless system, middle box, small backboxes and big tailpipes. When I found out 1 day after buying it both cats needed replacing I made 2 x homemade decat downpipes, hence the rawness to the noise in the above videos.
Graham, startac manual is in the glovebox, along with a full main dealer service history and every receipt
Lovely car, now reduction pulley and off to see my friend at ChipWizards for some mapping...

So... I loved the v8 so much, I bought another....
This time, I've bought a lower mileage car modified by racing green in Hampshire. It's had full lowering all around, a sports exhaust, full ecu remap and variable weight steering.
It really is a lovely car.
I will get some photos of it later, same colour as number 2, just white pin striping and in better condition.
