Newby from Perth Western Australia
Hi all
I have always found forums a great way of problem solving and modifying my cars and bikes. I am excited to be embarking on a new vehicle and no doubt the challenges ahead. Being an ex mechanic I hope from time to time as I get to know my Jag better I will have something usefull to offer other forum members.
My new car is a 2000 XKR and so far so good.
My other vehicles are
Nissan Navara stx 2015 Modified for caravaning and off road. (Daily driver)
Triumph Speed Triple 2011
Yamaha WR 450 enduro bike
Nissan Dualis STX 2013 (wife)
Are there any members out there from Perth or even Australia who would like to introduce themselvs to help me get started on my new hoby.
Cheers
Bryan

Hello, Bryan,
Oz is Well represented here in almost every section. We have bikers, tinkerers, customizers, modifiers and purists (rare though they are) among our members.
Very soon now one of them will be along to give you a proper Aussie welcome and direct you further if Graham (Super Mod who never sleeps) doesn't beat them to it.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Hi All
I think I have set up my signature and am just checking it.
We have done about 150 km in the XKR now and are really enjoying it.
I will soon be getting itchy and start to tinker.. I'm already searching new seat bases and arm rest leather. I think I may start there. Cosmetically that along with the rear parcel shelf being faded are about all that needs done.
The only other thing I have discovered is that the headrests dont move.

Hi again all
Well I am up to about 300km now and went for a nice drive with a friend yesterday afternoon in the Perth hills.
There was a dip in the road and the oil cooler met the road. Only lost about a litre of oil before I smelled something and pulled over, but it was tilt tray time. I was expecting little things like this but probably not before I had to put fuel in it for the first time.
I think the car may be trying to acertain my worthiness and dedication. Ill show it who's boss, it will be fixed with a smile on my face and I wont even mention what a stupid place to put such a delicate component.
Was a great drive until then.
