Newish members from San Francisco in love w S-types.
Hi all. Been lurking around for months and thought an introduction was in order.
i loved thr S-type the very first time I saw one. Iwas flush then so I plunked down $50k cash and drove off into the sunset in a brand new 2001 sapphire blue/ oatmeal 3.0liter v6 sport sedan S-type. Loved her and was going to baby my blue baby for ever...until a drunk driver ran the light and t-bond my kitty so hard two wheels broke off the cat and I was saved from harm and the idiot drunk in a blur of air bags popping everywhere. Kitty was in mint condition and only had 24k miles on her in the morning and by dark she was completely unrecognizable blue pile of crumpled metal all over the street. I knew then I would never see her ever again.
So, I bought a twin sapphire blue 4.0 liter 2000 stype base sedan with 67k on the clock. She ran perfect for the six years I drove her until I decided I should upgrade to a special Final Satin edition 3.0 liter S-type from 2008 in porcelain white. The 08 kitty is a beauty but she came with many unexpected challenges which we are trying to sort out with the help from members and staff of Jaguar Forums. Not sure the 08 is a keeper yet, or not. But, the dust will settle later this week. If she turns out to be a lost cause kitty, I’ll simply sell or salvage her and buy another 07 Stype -the newest model w fog lights - but definitely a 4.2 liter.
I plan The S type as my retirement vehicle...just so long as it doesn’t cost me my retirement to keep her happy. The first 2S-types were flawless vehicles that were very dependable, so I pray the third will be so as well. I’ve never seen a more beautiful modern classic design car than the S-type.
ive spemt sooooooo much time browsing JaguarForum since I purchased th 3rd stype on Halloween, my husband thinks I’m having an affair with somone connected to JF. I said I AM, his name is Snow Cat and hopefully he’ll be around for many years to come. (He drives a Toyota RAV4 ... he doesn’t get the Jag thing at all..but loves to driveSnow cat.
cheers to a happy new decade for us and our Jags! 2020
ps how do we make our garage and signature with model and year at bottom of each post?.?

Welcome to the forums nersveen,
Good to have you with us.
As you've already found your way to the S-Type forum, there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.
To add vehicle details to your Signature, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.

Hello,
I'm sorry your first S-type got smashed. However, on the bright side, it gave its life to save yours.
Most if not ALL of us here deeply understand the "Jag thing" as they have SO much more Personality and Presence than any Brand X, even a Rev 4.
Personally, Incorrigible and Unrepentant Tomboy that I am, my Jag makes me feel like a Lady!
I wish you success getting Snow Cat sorted out to your satisfaction.
