Hi, my name is Giovanni, Have live most of my Life in Chile, and know im working in southern Spain, Im an off roader and have just bought a XJ12 V12 6.0 1994, my plan is to take the engine and gear box out and swap it in my Nissan Patrol with an anemic turbo diesel 2.8.
Its not an easy task, im becoming a member to this site in order to read a lot before doing the swap, have loads of questions about many topics, I will probably open a thread soon because as far as I read there are many members in this forum who knows A LOT about this cars.

Thanks Graham for the welcome! As soon as I get back home I will fill my profile. I know its a challenge, but I firmly believe it can be done, we will see in the near future.
Is it rare? I dont know too much about the jaguar models, I bought it a week ago through ebay.co.uk I pay 465£ for it!
I havent used it very much, but is an amazing car, Im allready in love with it... Dont want to break it apart cause is it working very smooth... But I really want to have the first V12 Nissan Patrol.

The XJ40 was produced from 1986 to 1984.
The V12 variant (coded XJ81 by the factory) was only produced for the last year in small numbers.
There was also a Daimler version of this which is even rarer.
That's an amazing price if it's a solid example. Equivalent to around five fuel tank fill ups in the UK!
