"Noob" Introduction
Just an introduction about myself, to say hi and to thank the guys that have already helped me here.
I never really classed myself as a "Jag" man, but looking back over the last few years I suddenly realised I'm on my 5th one!!
It all started about 15 years ago, starting to grow up, but still out most nights and weekend with the lads, I spotted an old XJ40, a 4.0 on a G plate for £1000. Gold with fawn leather. I was hooked!
The Next one was another 4.0 Sovereign in Green on an L-reg, (I thought I was the man in that! - all my mates had Vectra SRi's or similar), Then onto an X308 3.2 Sport on an "S-plate" in Carnival Red, this I have to say is the best looking Jaguar ever made. I hated the colour, but the car was cheap and when fitted with XKR alloys looked the bomb!
A move over to a couple of "fast" Audi's, an S6, S4 Cab (midlife crisis) and an S8, and even a 500 Abarth (Sorry), made me realise I was missing something - a bit of prestige soul -a bit of heritage, well, if the Queens got one...... so I bought an X350 4.2 Sovereign, 2006, Silver with Cream leather. Easily the BEST car I ever had.... until it developed a starting problem..
Never fixed I sold it and bought my most recent Jag, a 2004 XJR in Jaguar Racing Green. Not as comfortable as the soveriegn and the keys bang against my knee (didn't happen in the Sovereign), but it looks awesome with the 20" Alloys and sound fab as it has Uprated stainless Powerflow back boxes.
Plans for the future?? I have just bought a Caldoofy Intake pipe, Can't wait for that to come, it's in for a full body mop on Thursday and I need to refurb the front alloys.
Could do with a drivers seat repair and will scan the site for info on updating the multimedia or fitting an AUX input.
Really impressed with the site and the info here.
Thanks for welcoming a Noob!!

Welcome to the forum aero-hot,
Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found the tech section so no need for a link to the X350 forum from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in this country.
Enjoy the forums.
