Talking NZ in the whare , shiny new member

Hi nice to write you , herald from New Zealand in the south of the Pacific to be specific , I have a car that has a Jaguar motor so I have become everything Jaguar well in the engine compartment .
If your wondering what this car could be it's a Lincoln LS 1999 , even tho it says they never made 1999 models lol but it is what it is .
living so far flung from the birth place of Jaguar parts are very highly priced and the car has a luxury status but being meagerly rewarded in life has it's challengers , most repairs must be done by myself on a shoe string budget of next to nothing hence my call for the where abouts of cheap affordable parts or relevant technical information from the web , peoples minds etc etc
Auckland to be exact , thanks in advance ........

Welcome to the forum cadetbob,

The US members will be able to help you with the Lincoln engine. Check the XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum or the XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum sections for information. XK8 owners in particular like the lower cost of the Lincoln gaskets!

thanks for the welcome guys , currently I am replacing the water pump was gunna flush the radiator etc but the air conditioning hoses were giving me grief so I left it , driving back from Palmerston Nth to Auckland I noticed the heater wasn't blowing hot air but made it back to Auckland ok but going out the next day the temperature light came on , a bit of head scratching and assumptions I figured it must be the waterpump cause it wasn't losing any coolant , so towed home hahahahaha that was 6 weeks ago .
finally got bits and pieces , should have it running tomorrow , yay I'll put some pictures up , hay great site been looking at replacing the upper tensioners as it looks pretty basic hahahaha
