Oh, Hello.
Crikey - gone and done it, bought the Grand Tourer of my dreams - a fairly fresh 2001 XKR with <80k, very clean.
Doubtless things will eventually need sorting, but for now happy days in SoCal with the top down.
Got to say it beats my first car: a Morris Minor, after that an Anglia, other very weird brit stuff.
Also lived in cities where very weird old scooters were the right thing to have. Heinkels. Contessas, IWL, Maico, etc.
Love to know who to trust for repair advice in the Southland, one guy in Long Beach was so.... smarmy.
Hoping to get advice on keeping the big cat happy as I did with scooter forums.
Originally from Dorset UK and no, don't walk around eating a carrot and talking. (well, not usually).

Welcome and enjoy your honeymoon with the XK. So Cal has it's problems but bad weather isn't usually one of them.I must admit that I've always enjoyed the driving more that the wrenching, but when I was younger I kept several cars around to always have something available to use. Now, I think that I'd better concentrate more on the driving, as soon as I dig myself out of the project car hole.

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I had a Heinkel scooter in the 1960's. Built like a tank and faster than anything from Lambretta or Vespa. A little more than a year later I graduated to an E-Type and have stuck with Jaguars ever since.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.
