OK, I'm a new member
Hi readers:
I joined Jag forum because I own a 2000 XJ8 and a parts 2000 XJ8 wrecked on passenger doors and rocker panel. I'm selling parts for anyone interested.
My 2000 has been great, yet only because I do the repair, and know a qualified mechanic to answer pertinent questions. I do love fixing stuff and the satisfaction it gives. The internet is new to me but I'm learning to love it for all I can learn and easily shop for and buy; parts, needed replacements, etc. The XJ8's sell low because of consumer fear and high service prices. Lucky for me as I now ride in more performance and style, up from a Nissan Maxima. We are in the waning years of the internal combustion engine so the time to enjoy them is now. I also have a 29' Model A pick-up, fun to drive a bit around this college town and to tinker with. Thanks to all the wrenches who chime in with advice and know-how. I will add what I can and try not to be sarcastic or obnoxious, two of my worst traits. I'm also not site savy; an old fashioned phone call works best much of the time. I've owned Spitfires, MGB's, Mini's(the older 850 and 1275's), including a Moke. All have needed constant maintenance with spanners and new parts, but the love of driving them and connection with the past has made it worthwhile. Good luck to all who love a British machine.

Welcome to the forum MarathonJohn,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the X308 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the USA Mid West Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-mid-west-il-ia-mi-mn-mo-oh-wi-39/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
