Old car nut new to Jag
Hello,
Long time motorhead new to the Jaguar brand. Mostly Japanese cars over the years. Used to daily drive Mercedes. I bought a pristine 07 Black XKR coupe with 34k on the clock. I live in the Atlanta GA area so it will be a year round car and a daily driver when I'm home. After 5k miles I love it! Smooth, comfy and powerful. So far I've only put new tires on it and installed the iPod interface (which seems ridiculous on a $94k car). Just had the windows tinted and it looks awesome. My future mods are to get rid of the resonators and some nicer wheels. Sentas are my first choice. What a machine!
I also fully restored a 1990 Toyota Celica GTFourRC. This is my sports car and handling machine. It will demolish the Jag in the twisties.
I'll take a car down to the main bearings. My mechanical experience is everything but transmissions and bodywork. Tranny's are magic boxes that work with witchcraft. That all being said I hope I never see any of that in the XKR. I did a lot of research before choosing this model and so far I'm happy. I would like to figure out how to get more supercharger whine!
