Hello,
I am Kyle and I have a 1985 Jaguar XJ6. I have had the car since I was 15 years old and I am currently 20. I have had the car for 5 years and its sat for about 4.5 of those. I also think before I bought it had been sitting for at least 2 years.I got the car and after 2 months of daily driving it my original engine completely blew up. It broke one of the main engine studs and we could not remove it. So the car sat for another year or so. We ended up buying another engine and trans for $250 bucks that needed a rear main seal but the shop who did the work did not change it so the car leaks about 1 quart of oil every 30 miles or so. So we drove it for a few months and then we just stopped driving it. Anyways it has been sitting for over 3 years and its brake lines rotted away and moisture is getting into the inside of the car through the rusted window frames. Nothing like haveing to scrape the frost off the inside of your windows in the winter. I am thinking of looking into making in my project after I get my Lt1 Firebird Back on the road.

Holy projects batman, i'd have pushed it off a cliff by now if it were mine.
you obviously have more patience, and for that I envy you.
Good luck with the car, hope you enjoy the forums. Lots of good information here to help you as you get started.
PS, get a garage, that poor car could use the protection from the elements.
