Possible XK owner with questions
I'm a long time Corvette owner (since 1972) currently I own a 2007 Z06
That when able I like to track
Due to some health issues namely knees and back I find the Corvette and me may have to part ways. I wish the Z06 came with a slush box. You'll find me over in the Corvette Forum as AFVETTE (I'm retired USAF) been a charter member since 1999.
So I found a pretty nice pre-owned 2008 XK convertible that my wife and really like.
Is this the correct forum to start asking specific questions?
Cheers
Tom

Hi Tom, I to was a long time Vette owner, C3,C4,and C5. Was all set to get a 2011 Grand Sport Corvette, then came across a 2010 Jaguar XKR. It was a factory demo with 4,500 miles on it. Price was 30% off MSRP with a 6 year/100K mile warranty which brought it down to the price of a fully loaded 4LT Grand Sport Corvette. Fit and finish on these cars are what you would and should expect for the price. Read all the reviews on them online and you will be hard pressed to find any negative comments about them. Oh, and the 2010 XKR has a 5.0 liter supercharged V8, putting out 510 HP, it will put a smile on your face, I don't miss my Vette!

Hi Tom,
Welcome to the forum. I have the same scenario as you regarding moving from a Vette to an XK. I'm also a 1999 Corvette Forum member and have about the same health issues as you. I found that entering and exiting the Jag is considerably more easy than the Vette. As 2010XKR said, the fit and finish outstanding and the fact that there are so few of these around make it a worthwhile investment. My wife also loves the refinement of the vehicle over the Vette. You won't believe how fast the paddle shifters in the XK are and what a treat it is to down shift with them.
Hope you get the XK and really enjoy it.
