Hello all, I am new here and hope someone can help.... My x-type 2.0 diesel Jaguar has decided to just tick over when I start it, hot or cold. After about 10 -20 seconds it runs normally. It is ok on the road but it is very frustrating if I stall it at the lights!
The garage say they can't fix it economically as the fault is 'intermittent', or short lived.
I thought of EGR valve, so I disconnected its electricity and symptoms remain the same. I have since cleaned the egr too and this makes no difference. I'm a bit tight with the hard earned cash so really want to fix myself....... Any ideas?

Follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type section for help and advice. The diesel version wasn't available in the US but we have several UK members with them.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
