Default Prospective Jaguar owner

Hi Everyone,

New to the forum. I just paid off my Mustang and it's my daily and I plan to keep it for the long haul. Thinking of what to get next I was thinking of getting a Saab 900s and then saw a video on the XJ8 X350 and just remembered how much I just loved this car. Similar to a Saab in that when you saw one, there was no question which car it was. I'm a sucker for wood trim. I really love the XK8 but I really wish it was a option with a manual transmission. Besides I already have a coupe (not the same, I know). I wrench on my Mustang so not afraid to get my hands dirty on the Jaguar. I know we already know this, but what a graceful vehicle even today. I like the appointments of the X351, but X350 is where it is for me. Of course I also love the XKE, XK120, E Type and D Type.

So I'm here to learn, do some research and if things work out, own my very own Jag in about 3 to 5 months.

You are SO right on both counts! No One would mistake a Classic Jag for Anything else on the road, unlike the current "modern" crop that you can't tell what it is unless you see the badge!!

When I was a kid there was a Jaguar dealer 2 blocks from my house in Queens. Oh, how I could just simply stare at these cars all day. I know Jaguar had to change, I just wish the front end of the X351 was as distinctive and elegant as the rear. I'm not dismissing it entirely, It's just that in my eyes, it doesn't quite compete. Glad there is a crazy group of folks dedicated to keeping them on the road. I hope I can join your tribe soon.
