Default Proud new XKR-S owner

Greetings fellow Jaguar enthusiasts! I recently retired (July) and set about to find the perfect retirement gift to celebrate in style. The XK was not even on my short list. I had followed the release of the F-Type and was looking at 2 other yet to be released models (2015 Acura NSX and 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C). While looking at the F-Type at my local dealer, I asked my salesman for a test drive of the 2012 XKR-S that had been sitting on the lot for 6 months. The rest, as they say, is history.

I bought the XKR-S in September and I've spent the last 3 weeks getting acquainted with my new ride. I still have to pinch myself to believe that I have such an elegant and powerful beast in my garage.

I look forward to learning a lot about 'all things Jaguar' from the members of this forum.

That is hands down the best choice to get started with jags!
In my opinion the xkr-s is better looking than the f-type.

Congrats

Welcome onboard.

It still amazed me to see an XKR-S sitting in a dealer lot for 6 months!!!
I've just bought my brand new 2012 last june which was sitting for more then 1 year!!!

People just don't realise what an XKR-S is!!

Enjoy it!
