Hi all,
The title is the rego on my 1997 XJR.
I live in Melbourne, Australia
I bought it 5 years ago through Lou Guthry Motors, Caulfield (then) and JagDaim in Moorabbin.
You couldn't speak highly enough of Lou and Brian and the service levels they provide.
Brian and John from JagDaim had the car largely resprayed, installed a cold air intake, increased boost for the supercharger, tuned the car to perfection and fitted unique 19" wheels....I have only seen one other set and they are on an XJ owned by one of Brian's staff.
Went to Jag Nationals in Hobart in 2009 and part of the program was a day at Baskerville Raceway where I had a ball.
I was hooked. Rapt. Smitten and bitten. Couldn't wait for more.
Took PUR4IT back to Brian at JagDaim to have it lowered about 2", adjustable shocks, upgraded brakes as it was a tad wallowy in high speed corners and had some brake shudder after repeated high speed braking.
The next PUR4IT outing was at Winton Raceway where the changes were a revelation. Handling superb. Braking sure and confidence inspiring.
Overheating in 2011 meant a new supercharger.
Hint! never buy one from a new car dealership! I got mine ...)in Jaguar packaging with all correct numbers)on the net BRAND NEW for about 1/3 of what dealer quoted.
And >$500 for a radiator hose!?!. Sure it looks like an octopus but huge $$$
Then early this year a burst heater hose ...in Summer! meant the head had to come off, so used that opportunity to get performance camshafts and some head work done.
My first attempt at 400m runs was at Geelong Revival recently and it ran a 14.7 which I'm confident that with more experience at launching will come down a bit next time.
Taking it on a 2000+km holiday this week.
5 years, 50,000km and I'm still rapt in it.
If you got this far, thanks for your interest
Greg Jamieson

Hello, Greg,
At first I thought you might have made a mistake and posted your photos upside down. But then I looked at your location and saw you're in Oz. It's all clear to me now.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
