I have a 2004 XJ6 SE and the battery is being drained by a mysterious permanent 4 amp load on the circuitry. I disconnected the battery and checked that is was maintaining the charge and it is fine. When the battery is connected (ignition off) the voltage "counts down" at a rate of 0.1 volt per second. I connected my multimeter between the Positive terminal and thee connection lead and it shows a current flow of over 4 amps I've left the battery disconnected while I investigate. Has anybody got any ideas? Thanks in advance for any clues you can give me.
