Radio Problem
Hello Folks.
New member and first q?
Just purchased an X type Diesel 06 Plate. 65k miles.
Previous owner put a new battery on car and didnt set up radio. I have tried with what I believe to be the correct code but no luck. When I enter code, no beeps. What should I do next to check radio.
Also if I decide to go an after market new option, any suggestions grateful.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum Stuart,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
It should beep even if you enter an incorrect code but, if I recall correctly, they do just lockout for a number of hours if the wrong code is entered a couple of times. Provided it is the original radio unit, any Jaguar Dealer can lookup the four digit radio code for you from the vehicle VIN. If approached in the right manner, they normally do this free of charge.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
