Default Re-comissioning air conditioning

I have a 1998 (X308) XJ8 which has never had fully functioning air con. It hasn`t bothered me much but now I want to bring the whole car back up to 100%.
Would anyone here have a recommendation, based on recent experience, of who in the U.K. would be a good/safe pair of experienced hands to undertake this task for me?
Also a guideline of price and complexity would also be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum Peter,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Many independents have the equipment to drain the AC and recharge with the correct weight of R134 and PAG oil. I recently had my XK done and it was £55.

Follow this link XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
