Re-introduction
Hello all,
I'm not sure how many of the old forum members are still here from, say, five years ago I guess. But I am back, after a long hiatus of non-Jag ownership.
My first Jag was an 03 S-Type R, and I was hooked. Then I had a chance to own one of my two lifelong dream cars (the other being a largely out-of-reach Lambo Countach) so I traded it on a C6 Corvette. Fast forward a few years, and I am now married and about to have a child, so I needed something with a back seat... and BAM! XK8. ::facepalm:: They do make a carseat that will fit, in my defense. Seriously though, I also sold my wife's car and bought her an X-Type. So that covers the back seat issue and the "I can't be seen driving that" and "you are not putting our newborn daughter in that lifted truck" issues, plus we are now a 2-Jag family.
I plan on buying that kit from Jaguar Specialties and shoving a worked LS1 and T56 trans into the XK8, but I am waiting on him to finish the kit for the T56; as of right now it only works with the 4L65e.
I have come back here to swap knowledge. Shout out to anyone still here who actually remembers me.

And it's good you listened to your wife. She knows what she'd talking about.
Welcome from ElinorB.
