retrricted performance light
Hi may i first introduce myself,
my name is stephen garrett. I am currently experiencing a problem with check engine light which stays on. And a retricted performance performance light that stays on for about a minute or so. My fault code reader reads both banks running lean. I have had the manifold, fuel fillter, and air blead hoses /air fillter replaced. Someone has also mentioned changinng lambda sensors ? . Could anyone advise me of the location of said sensors ? and any other ideas would be gratefully recived.
with thanks
stephen

RE: retrricted performance light
Air intake duct to throttle body split at bellows, broken full load breather pipe to A bank cam cover, loose clamp at MAFS connection to duct hose, broken part load breather pipe, remove and clean Mass Air Flow Sensor with CRC MAFS cleaner. That's where to start.

still wating to recive air input duct. but have been wondering. could this problem be a electrical fault ? as i have been treating my car with kit gloves for the last few days. and the only time the light has come on .Has been when i have been passing electric pylons.

Cleaned the lot with carb cleaner. redone connections and scrubed throtle body with carb cleaner and bingo ( i think). not counting chicken s yet but have been well fed off there eggs.
Thanks again will be glued to these pages.
