Hey folks! Chris here from Canada. I have had an account in the Forum here for a number of years but haven't posted in a long time mostly because I haven't been doing very much work on my cars lately. I have found that I have more time now to get dirt under my fingernails and skinned knuckles, so thought I should reintroduce myself.

I have a 1984 xj6 base model that I was fortunate enough to buy off of the second owner about 10 years ago. This car is in pretty good driver condition, and has never been winter driven. I have the service history going back to 1989. My goal for this car is to keep it running in good condition, and to preserve the lovely light blue paint in good condition.

Four years ago I bought a 1973 xj12 non-runner that had been sitting in storage for 2 years, when it had failed to start. I had some Rust repairs done on the driver side, and a compression test performed to confirm the engine was in pretty good shape. This is an unusual car in that it is badged as a Daimer double-six. Money is pretty limited right now, so all that I am doing with this vehicle at the moment is keeping it safe and dry, changing fluids and trying to prevent it from deteriorating any further. I dream of getting this car on the road in the not too distant future. Aside from some electrical work it will need paint, and restoring or replacing the red interior.

Welcome back to the forum bedford17,

As you've been a member for a few month longer than me, you won't need any links to find your way around.

Good luck with the XJ12 project.

Welcome.

A Daimler over there, now that is rare.

Well done, and good luck.
