rusty tanks

greetings to all have a quick question regarding my 72 series 1 i dont think the fuel tanks have ever been out and was wondering has anybody done this as i have removed bottom covers and bolts and lines but they are being quite obstinate and i am getting a little frustrated with the task any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I'm not knowledgable enough to tell you which one - if a type 72 is an XK-E it would be E type.

I'm assuming that an XJ6 Series I with the tank in each rear wing? If so, follow this link to post this tech question in XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum section.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

thanks guys your help will be greatly appreciated, still unsure about how to navigate forums have had success removing my rusty tanks the old girl has the 350chev and turbo 400 box i now have to work out wich fuel cell to use as original will probably be out of the question also have minor rust to repair and the lucas wiring is proving to be a bit of a nightmare (to many backyard bodgys) only consecion is i can do all this at the restoration place i work at.
