Default S type trans fluid/pan replacement

I have a 2000 jaguar s type 3.0 and have a couple of concern s before I do a trans fluid change.
First, what is the general consensus when it comes to fluid?... Is it necessary to use zf's fluid,or can a high quality fluid such as amsoil or pentosin be used without harm?
Also is a new pan a must? When I search for a filter online I see a replacement filter but I seem to remember hearing that the filter is intregal to the pan. Just dont want to find out that I need more parts AFTER I have the pan off.
Lastly, does someone know what all parts I will need for a fluid change, such as sleeve, gaskets etc.
Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated,Thanks
