Hi all. I don't have a Jag yet, but am looking at purchasing a new XKR. I have a few questions and thanks to anyone in advance for some input.

1) what real world range have people been vetting on an XKR?

2) what mileage have people been getting? I know what the official numbers are, but I took one for a ride yesterday and the shown mileage was 5mpg. I assume it's greater than that, but wanted to check.

3) what kind of pricing can be had? I have spoken with both the local dealer and the dealer in Las Vegas and before I starred negotiating I thought I'd get the wisdom from people on this forum.

I would guess that 5mpg was instantaneous rather than average. Unless of course you were giving it the boot, then 0mpg should be possible.

 

I would've thought that as well except that the readout had an "ave" in it... I was just wondering what the real-world mileage is for an xkr.

Also, would love to know about purchase deals people have seen.

The 5mpg isn't right even if it's been cleared it should come up fairly quickly.
