So Pumped from Houston [Lots O Pics]
Greetings Jag Forum! My name is Russell, and I am the proud owner of a 2010 XF Supercharged. You can find me prowling the streets of Houston in a white on beige XF.
A little back story:
I have always been a huge speed guy and after college, I took a major leap forward in the performance game. As soon as I had the money, I sold my 2002 Ford Focus SVT and bought a modded 2003 Corvette Z06.
Needless to say, this car was nuts. I daily drove this bad boy for 2 years and had a lot of fun in it. Unfortunately, in March of 2012, some stupid girl decided to t-bone me and total my car. Not a fun day
As you can see, after I got t-boned, my car spun around and ran up a curb. That contact completely wrecked everything in the back end. So, now that I had a nice big check in hand from the insurance company, it was time to go shopping again.
After daily driving a big cammed, heavily modified vette everyday, I knew I wanted something way more comfortable, spacious, and everyday friendly but still very fast and fun. I looked at CTS-Vs, E55 AMGs, M5's, and of course the XF SC/R. Ultimately, the XF S/C was the perfect combination of speed, performance, and comfort, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I love everything about the car!
I actually flew to Atalanta to buy the car and drove it back to Houston.
The day I picked her up:
After the 800+ mile drive
And how she looks today with fresh tint
And one more for good measure
Well that's my story. Hopefully it wasn't too boring. I plan to be around for the long haul and hopefully can contribute lots. Happy driving!!!
