Hi -Just joined the forum. Had three Jaguars in all, over a period of 20 years. First was a XJ12 saloon in metallic antelope. Then a V12 XJS HE
in sort of kingfisher metallic. The V12's are fantastic motors but this time I settled for a 1990 XJS 3.6 manual with the sportspack. Performance is similar to the V12 up to about 80 MPH - then the sheer power of the V12 is evident. The 3.6 being 200lbs lighter makes 0-60mph in 7.1 sec. and can return up to 30 mpg on a trip due to 5th gear acting like an overdrive. 70mph comes up at just 2300 rpm. Will post some shots when I gain my spurs !

I've scanned a 1980's photo of the silky smooth XJ12 sitting on pepperpot alloys

Here's a scan of the V12 XJS with it's distinctive ' starfish alloys'

Here's the 3.6 manual. When I bought the car it came with its original TWR boot spoiler

Have to say although I like originality I thought the spoiler did nothing for the cars classical shape, so I removed it and think the car now looks cleaner and less cluttered.
