Default Still British, still quirky, still love it...

Good afternoon all -

After four months, a software upgrade and roof cassette repair, I am pleased to report a great fondness for my 2011 XJ SWB. Sweet car - and what a great decision to buy over Audi, Benz, others. I really liked my 2008 XJ with chrome sabres but was roundly criticized by my kids for driving an old mans car. No longer; they heartily approve! I look forward to contributing to the forum and have already benefited from the many posts detailing issues with software, roof pops, etc.

Welcome,

Seems you are British through and through at least as far as cars go.

Welcome to the forum UJ, looks like a great collection you have there. If you feel like sharing a few pics please go ahead, especially the SP250, I've never been lucky enough to drive one.

Default Sp250

Translator -

My Daimler SP250. Talk about quirky...sounds great, pulls strong, drives like a farm tractor. With the overriders, looks like a catfish. Without them and with the wires, a neat profile.

Unionjack – A fine stable to be sure, two more and you will have one for each day of the week. You cannot however, post photos of one and not the others………………

Default Tiger and TR-6

Pix of my Tiger and TR-6, taken when freshly washed and waxed. Time to do it again...

Both look really great and thank you for the photos. I am something of a Triumph man; prior to my current life as an import to the States, I owned a Dolomite Sprint, Spitfire and Vitesse.

Default Italia

Five years ago, I negotiated to buy a Triumph Italia in MINT condition. Exquisite car. But I backed away because the seller wouldn't come down sufficiently in price. In retrospect, the spread between me and the seller was nothing, but I had just started a new job and decided it was the wrong time to be shelling out the dough. What a dope. I don't imagine I'll ever see that sweet a car again. Italia's are as rare as hen's teeth.
