The running lean is likely due to a vacuum leak of some sort. Check out the S-Type sub-section (probably where this thread will be towed to shortly) of this forum and search and you will come up with some spots to check.

Welcome to the forum Walt,

Sorry to hear about the restricted performance issue. Before throwing more parts on, follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to post this tech question in S-Type section. Resident experts there should be able to troubleshoot the DTC's for you.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome to the forum Walt,

Good to have you with us.
Follow Grahams advice. The original codes were most likely an air leak the sensors were just showing the fault. You need to check that you have fitted the correct sensors and all the connections are good.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

I have a "restricted performance" alarm and stopped into the local dealership. Told me I had a cracked plastic air intake valve and it was causing a lean mix. $125 to tell me that, and $485 to order the plastic intake valve and install it. Did I just get duped? (First time on the forum and this is the only place "search" led me)

Finally took my jag to the dealer they say its a blown head gasket leaking into my valves and. That took out my o2 sensers and mas air flow. For the total job its going to cost 6500. Those this sound right to anyone
