Surprise Jag owner...

Greetings all!
I have surprisingly become the owner of a non-running 1986 XJ6. The main reason it is not running is it sat for several years because it needed brakes. All of them. And then my mother's landlord wanted the very lovely wheeled sculpture out of his parking area.
So my mom gave me the Jag, and it is a very lovely sculpture still. It is worth barely more than the cost of the brake job, and I have a large family lobby to 'get rid of it'... but I just can't bring myself to junk something so beautiful, and solid - how could it be trash? So after long lurking I am here to work on it, and the dilemma, with those who appreciate the car, at least...
Thank you for having this forum!
