Default A Swedish cat

Hello everybody, new member here.

I live in the southern part of Sweden, a town called Kristianstad. I got myself my first Jaguar the other week, an anthracite XKR born in 1998.

Already signed up for membership in the Swedish Jaguar club, I thought it'd be nice to join this forum as well. I'm sure there's lots to learn from the regulars here

Got a few things to fix on my cat. A thorough check of the engine and transmission is on top of the list, hopefully I can hand it over to the garage next week. After that, I'll go over the front suspension. Perhaps fit Powerflex bushings if I have enough money left after that first major service

Here's a couple of pictures of her. Pardon the quality, took them with my cell phone.

Yea, that's a Leaper on the hood... a previous owner thought it would look nice on an XKR any advice on what to cover the hole in the hood with is appreciated!

Cheers!

/BeO

Thanks Jim, appreciate it

Haven't dared to take off the Leaper yet. Afraid of what condition the hood will be in underneath it.

Welcome to the Forum BeO, you live in a town named after my eldest daughter, how cool is that! LOL

The leaper has to go it looks daft. I would carefully remove it to see what is behind. You might check out our detailing section if you need to do any paint correction. Post up a pic or two of the affected area, and I am sure that Dave wil be able to offer advice.

JagMaster, cadillac, thanks for the welcome

Translator, that's pretty cool it was a danish king called Christian IV who founded the city in 1614, and named it after himself.

It's a small town but we have some really nice roads around here, and great nature to enjoy on those lazy sunday morning drives

I'll probably let the Leaper sit there for the rest of this season, got plenty of other stuff of mechanical nature to take care of first. But after that, it better watch out I'd rather have it sitting on a wooden stand on my office desk.
