Cool TCM trouble 1995 XJR

My name is Greg Douglas. I have a 1995 XJR 117k sweet ride if I can get it play right. Just about to cut the cord and say it's a lose, Car is from California was driven for about a month no problems. Transported to Florida came off the truck with a check engine light, drove about 1 mile and the transmission light came on and went into limp mode, about $1200 so fare and no fix, reset lasts about 5 miles and back to limp mode, was at jag dealer for 3 days and I find out that it has a later mod ECM and they think it could be the TCM that is bad but it will $2500 and a 50/50 chance to see if that is what it could be??? Trying to find part # but all I’m doing is pounding my head on the wall. Looking at buying used and replacing ECM AND TCM found some on CAR-PART.com but not sure what the 95 takes there are several. Can anybody tell me where the ECM AND TCM are or where to look to find the part #? Dealer said it was under the tire in trunk on a white label. NOT. Note A&B shift sensors were change twice and all wiring tested inside and out. Thanks G.D.

Welcome to the forum Greg,

A late welcome from me as I've been away doing some serious Jaguar driving across Europe.

I can see from the thread trail that you're making progress with this. Good luck and enjoy the forum.

Graham
