Thinking I should buy this ...please help 82 with 13000 miles
I have the opportunity to buy a jag xjs
With coupe automatic with 13000 miles ...yes 13000 miles on it ....could anyone give me a estimate on what this car is worth....all original except tires and brakes as far as I know ..probly small stuff like the battery has been changed as well. I'm going to look at it tommorrow if anyone could help me that would be great

Monetary "Worth" is so often in the eye of the seller first, and then after Reality sets in, in the eye of the Buyer.
Mostly things are worth what you can sell them for if you're selling, or what you can buy them for if you're buying.
Doubtless someone in the XJS section will have a better idea than either of us.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum with this question so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
A 36 year old V12 would not be my choice for a first Jaguar. The XJS is a superb vehicle when properly and regularly maintained but with only 13,000 miles, it is almost certain to cost a lot of time and money to make it reliable. This needs to be an itch you have to scratch rather than a whim or you will not enjoy the experience.
