Default Third Time is a Charm

Hi Everyone.

Arthur (Truck Graphics -- I'm a sign man!) here.

Just bought a '97 XK8 Coupe.

Lovely car.

Doesn't run.

This is my third Jaguar. Had a 1962 E-type convertible in high school. (It cost about 100 times less than an E-type today. At the time, it was just a well used foreign car. Most of my friends had American Muscle cars.) Rebuilt the cylinder head in my driveway on that one.

Also owned an '94 XJ-6. Was my daily driver. Loved that car!

Just bought a '97 XK8 Coupe. Love the lines. Car looks good, but needs work, as they say. I've played with cars all my life, but am not a mechanical expert. Just an enthusiast. I'll show myself out to the tech forums now.

Looking to enjoy the community and learn something from the experts here. (Like how to get my car running !)

Hello, Arthur,
The Enthusiast cares more for his/her car than the mechanic does, and tends to take better care of it. Most members here are not "Real" mechanics, but are Enthusiasts like you.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
