I've been lurking in the XF and F-type sections literally for years and thought it's about time I register and make a proper introduction. Tom's the name and I'm based in Luxembourg which is a pretty awesome place to drive a proper Jag - the country is packed with super smooth fantastic roads and is perfectly located for European road tripping. As a bonus I live some 20 minutes from the nearest unrestricted German autobahn, a good hour from the Nürburgring and a good hour from Spa.
I've been a big Jag enthusiast since I got my first one 8 years ago. First I had a MY11 XFS (that is the 275 hp / 600 nm 3L diesel) Portfolio for four years, then upgraded to a MY14 XF 3.0 S/C AWD and last week took the next step by upgrading to a loaded MY18 F-Type coupé V6S RWD R-Dynamic. During my years of XF ownership I was quite active over at some other XF forums and did quite a few minor mods and repairs to my cars. Since this forum seems to be the best place to be for F-Type owners it's time to hang out more here. I'm pretty familiar with most of the modern Jag lineup through different loaners and test drives over the years and also had the pleasure to get a private tour of the whole F-Type production line in Castle Bromwich the other year.
The new pride and joy will serve as a combined daily driver, fun car, hobby and road trip car. Already looking forward to hitting the Route Napoleon towards the French riviera once the covid mess calms down.
And here's a shot of it. A bit hard to see in this darkish shot but it's in British Racing Green, with the exterior design black pack, the 20" blades, extended leather siena tan interior with performance seats, pano roof etc.
