It took long enough, about 30 years...
Hello,
I finally got the Series III Jaguar I've intended to buy for about 30 years. It's a long story... obviously.
Anyway, it is still at my mechanic, and he'll do some minor suspension work before I can get the safety paperwork, and get on with the registration, plates etc. I barely drove it at all.
The body is the color I wanted (blue), correct trim level (VDP), 12 cylinders, and it is not rusted. I did a couple of long drives only to find rust (easy to happen here in Canada), one of which was dangerously rusted and selling for $15,000!
I hope driving it during the summer will make me confirm the decision was good. If so, then I start pumping some more money into it, and posting questions. Thanks in advance.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
