another new member, I'm on my second jaguar a x type se 2.O litre diesel 07 reg.
my previous was a 02 reg 3.o litre x type automatic, lovely car until problems with coil packs so changed for the present one.
took it back to sales company under warranty for water leak and coil warning light on dash
mechanics said turbo actuator sticking !!!.
since got it back have had charging problems with battery, checked turns out have a AMG118 stop start battery on the car, could this be my charging problem. I don't think this is adequate battery. would like suggestions from the experts. thank you

Welcome to the Forums.
I agree on that battery.
My info here will mean nothing up there, so ask a battery supplier, there will be many in the UK, and they can look up their chart for correct spec battery for that Diesel.
My 2.1 V6 takes an N66 (Aussie spec), and that is a largish battery.
Good luck.

You don't want a 2019 technology battery in a 2001 technology car. The OE Jaguar batteries are Varta brand and your X-Type will have had an 80 Ah vented fitted originally. I think the P/N is C2S51726 but check this because it is VIN range dependent.
If you have a history with your Jaguar Dealer, you will be able to get a competitive discount. If not, Googling the part number will return several alternative suppliers and also equivalent specification batteries.
