Names Dan, recently moved to Southern California(South Orange CO.) for a career out of college. Moved from Cleveland Ohio. Happy to be here in SoCal, and on this forum.
After leaving modest Ohio University in southern Ohio, I quickly adapted to the 'materialisticness' of souther Cali, if only carwise. GLAD I DID!!! I love this car, I can't get over it yet, especially after upgrading from an 04' Cavalier, haha. Miss the manual trany though.
Sooo I picked up my 03 STR for what I consider a great deal. Car has 81K. Pretty flawless from what I can tell. Does have the slight Lurch everyone speaks of(whatever). Better than the slight or drastic everything my Cavalier had.
After doing a decent amount of reading, I realized it was better to tap into the knowledge of people who have put 100,000 miles on my identical car. THANK you for all of this. From what I have read, I will probably get plenty of miles out of my car with little to know near future problems. Thankfully, the brakes were just replaced, as well as the sensors.
I was able to purchase a 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty(Engine and Trany only) on top of what the car already has. This was about $1700 extra. Scam skeptical. California is supposed to be pretty harsh on insurance companies though, so hopefully it's all good.
Pictures soon.
