Default V8 XJ engine help

Hi,
I am attempting to fit a V8 XJ engine into a Mark 2.
Has anybody got any experience in doing this ?
Any assistance ( technical help, pitfalls, shortcuts, etc.) that can be given will be appreciated.
Best Regards
Bill Craig

Welcome to the forum Bill,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I've read of a few V8 transplants into the MK2. very brave!

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/m...40-daimler-61/ to the
MKI / MKII S type 240 340 & Daimler forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome.

A guy here slotted a V12 into a MK2 many many years ago, that was BRAVE.

I believe it is still motoring around somewhere. Never seen it, only know of it.

The V8 should be a test of many talents, but very do-able.
