Good Day,

I believe I should start as all new relationships do, with an introduction; I am retired Military (USAF), married with children, living in Wyoming at the present.

I am lucky enough to have a very understanding and loving wife, who purchased a 1992 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign for me as a Christmas gift. I have always been a fan of the UK and pretty much anything European.

As a retirement idea, the wife and I have decided that I would get all the toys I always wanted but couldn't get due to deployments.

What a surprise it was to come home and see a Jaguar in the driveway, I thought it was one of the wife's friends. Now, that we have the Jaguar, the questions are multiplying..

Our (my) hopes are that this Forum answers a lot of the questions and perhaps we can do the same in time. Unfortunately, do to our present assignment / location there are "NO" not any clubs or mechanics close. So, I get to do the mechanical work.

This is not a problem but finding resourcing that answer my questions accurately is starting to be.

The weather today was 9 degrees this morning and I wanted to check the coolant/anti-freeze. After reading the manual, I found that the Xj6 requires a different type of coolant that I don't have in the shop.

MY QUESTION IS; WHAT BRAND / TYPE OF COOLANT IS (WAS) USED IN 1992 XJ6'S? I guess another question would be, where to buy the coolant from? Any help on this would make me a happier own, for the immediate future.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
