Wayne in Australia, X-Type 2006 2.1L FWD V6 150,000Klm
Hello from new member in Perth Australia.
I am 56yrs old and bought the X-type to treat myself whilst going through the men only cancer treatment (prostate).
I bought it for a miserly $5,000 knowing it had a couple of issues which I am addressing, I just replaced the alternator and never want to have to change it again lol what a pain.
I have new rear hubs and bearings coming and am halfway through changing out the CD player for an aftermarket 6.5" unit with all the fruit, GPS Bluetooth, DVD, Ipod, USB etc I have ordered a PC2-81-4 harness so I don't need to cut and solder, the only thing I can't tell is which wires on the original SOT-082 plug are used for steering wheel controls but I will.
the other problem is A/C pressure too high on low side at idle and too low on high side at idle and at 1500 rpm they both move to correct range, possible TX valve so I have that to look into.
apart from that she is metallic blue JJX and cream interior SEL, drives very well, looks and feels great on road and looking forward to finishing jobs on her so the wife and I can get out in her.
I look forward to messaging with other members as time goes by till then Hoorroo from Oz

Welcome to the forum Wayne,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the Australia - Western Region forum by following this link Australia - Western - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Best wishes for the treatment and enjoy the forums.
Graham
