Firstly... introduction.
my name is Mark Gladwin.
a self employed plumber from the lovely county of dorset.
i've gone and done it... for years and years i've been obsessing over jaguars, xjs's mostly, but i've got now got my first big cat!
after recently destroying my last vehicle (bmw 325tds se) thanks to a extremely careless lady driver (thanks for that!) it was time i bought something else.
a trip to a local used car dealership where i've recently done alot of plumbing works and the owner tells me he has something in the back i'd be interested in... after an extremely tence walk across the forecourt i clasp my eyes on a 1999 jaguar xk8 coupe... my first question... whats wrong with it?
handbrake cable. a missfire due to one of the coilpacks not working, a battery thats flat (and locked in the boot!) and the vehicle is stuck in valet mode (i've connected the fuseboard and fired it up and tried the key in the back lock to no avail. fobs and boot release don't work either)
no doubt i will be very shortly asking a million questions on how to get round these issues!
second question...
how much?..
i thought the guy was joking when he said £2000 but he wasnt.
the paperwork got signed and here i am today. age 22 with a 4.0 xk8 coupe!
