West Norfolk - UK
I dont currently have a Jag but hope to soon. XK8? I have to sell my 2007 Bavaria 37 yacht first here in the UK. I only joined as I did some freelance design work for Jaguar in about 1990, namely the underbody X struts on the XJS which improved the torsional stiffness considerably - see thread struts wanted where I have posted some pics yesterday. Used to own a 3.6 Daimler XJ6.
Currently running a Vauxhall carlton diamond 3.0 24v estate. Quite a rare car in the UK, and a Rover 75 diesel estate with the BMW diesel engine.
Hobbies - cars, sailing, walking and supporting the wife.
I'm an automotive design engineer and have worked all over the world for numerous companies on cars, buses and trucks. Semi retired now.

Welcome to the forum man of kent,
Great Intro and posts on the struts.
Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information on your next Jaguar. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there has much useful information on regular issues ........ and some observations on where the designers got it wrong!

I was based in St Marteen. Hook in the French side of the lagoon.
Lived on the boat a lot of 2001 - 2004 when I wasn't working.
I had a bad time in the USVI with 'reverse discrimination' but I love the Caribbean and its people.
This Forum specialises in going OT, one of its many delights.

I've now a Bavaria 37 here in the UK for sale - www.apolloduck ID 222360 if you know anybody looking. Dont want to commit to a jag yet until sold or swopped for a motorhome although I would swop for a Jag plus cash.

I recognise it well. Interesting name! Nice looking seagoing boat you had. Attached is La Adventuress which I understand is incorrect French but I didn't name it.
We had our fastest ever sail from BVI to St Martin at night averaging 9 knots on a beam reach with everything up in 25 knots of wind. Wife would not let me go on deck to reef the main so we just spilled wind and didn't slow down.
Oh to be in the Caribbean now! B....y freezing here. Minus 10C at night.
Sailed to the outer hebrides from kent a couple of years ago with the bavaria 37. Good solid boat.
