We've adopted a cat!
Evening!
Today is our sixth day of having a gorgeous, all black X350 XJR.
It's been a long way coming. I've always enjoyed the "newer" XJs, from the X300 through the X350. Eventually, we needed a new family car and I suggested my wife should find something nice, just to see what she'd cook up.
Well, she found a number of XJs, a Super V8 and a Daimler Super Eight (proved incredibly rare and priced accordingly), along with a herd of Maserati Quattroportes. This, of course, proved once again that I married the right woman.
We test drove a number of XJs, most just weren't brilliant because of neglectful previous owners. After a four XJs came the Super V8. It was a bit neglected too but the key part was, to quote my wife, "this goes like a rocket. I definitely want a supercharged one."
On the verge of giving up, we found a racing green XJR and, at the same dealer, an unlisted, all black, one-owner XJR, apparently one of the last before the X358.
There is nothing more sinister than a black XJR and now it's ours
The stock 19' wheels are at the dealer, stored until spring justifies summer wheels and the pictured winter 18's are about to be replaced with a set of BBS SRs. Other than that, it's entirely stock and likely to remain so apart from a Bluetooth Audio refit. Seems like Veffremov is the contact for that bit.
Right, that's the car, my name is Tom, my better half is Ash and our black cat prowls about the Zürich area in Switzerland.
Great to be on board here and we look forward to tips, tricks, and contacts on this forum
Cheers,
Tom & Ash

Beeautiful Car! Simply Stunning (I freely admit my bias for BLACK Jaguars)!
Congratulations!
I know very few men who would even allow their wives to help choose the next car let alone assign her to do so! You're a Prince among men!

A big thank-you to everyone for the warm welcoming!
The Cat has assumed daily duty and performs flawlessly (same could not be said about the German it replaced in our fleet) and we look forward to many more kilometres with this glorious beast.
Apart from the Bluetooth kit and the BBS winter wheels, I don't see any other modifications coming up. Some minor stone chip repair and the windscreen has a few nicks but that's not particularly urgent.
