Wrecked Jaguar F-type R as my first Jag! From Portland Oregon!
Hello there! My name is Owen, and it's my pleasure to meet you all!
I'm a car enthusiast, and my current ride is a C8 Corvette. However, I wanted to try something different and ended up buying a salvage Jaguar F-Type R, which I've been documenting on my YouTube channel.
The story of how I ended up with the Jaguar is quite interesting. I was browsing Copart, and I had my eyes on a green AMG GTR, but unfortunately, it was out of my price range. However, I stumbled upon the F-Type R, and the elegant curves and looks of the car caught my attention.
Did not hurt that it has 550hp and sounded better than my C8! I immediately had a vision of how the car would look amazing in the same green as the Amg GTR with dark carbon fiber accents everywhere, and I knew I had to buy it.
Since then, I've been working on the restoration and modification of the car, which has been an incredible journey. I plan on keeping the Jaguar as my daily driver once it's fully restored.
I'm excited to join this forum and connect with other Jaguar enthusiasts. I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences and learning from others as we explore the world of Jaguars together. Thanks for having me, and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes us!
Here she is! Cant wait to drive her for the first time!

Yea it looks worse than it really is haha. This will be my first salvage build so it is definitely going to be an adventure. So far the the expenses have not been that bad.
Thank God for Ebay! lol .
Thanks ElinorB
Enjoy the forums and good luck with your challenge.

Hey Thanks for the info and warm welcome Graham!
Since you seem like a good person to ask, where would be the best area in the forum to make a thread with this build from start to finish with pictures and everything?
I did not see a specific build area, just the f-type area unless I missed it.
Thanks again man!

Owen,
YES - a few members with other models have tackled similar projects and compiled detailed write-ups. We don't have a dedicated forum for this and the relevant model forum is the one to use. Start a thread in F-Type forum. e.g. Wrecked Jaguar F-type R Project or any title of your choice that shows it's work in progress. You can add posts as it proceeds and members can follow the story.
Owen,
That F-Type looks barely scratched compared to some of the cars I see on Saving Salvage (Mat Armstrong) and Scrap Life Garage (Lee C).
Looking forward to your thread with progress and pics.
Hello from Vancouver, WA. Looks repairable. A few years back I saw a picture of a car lot in Texas full of brand-new Jag's. You couldn't see much of them just their roofs. That was because the rest of the cars were under water.
