Welcome to the Forums.

"MOT" indicates the UK?

Anything is repairable if you have the time, and the ability to think outside the box.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Christopher,

In principle, you could switch everything from the 'new' headlamp shell to the original.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Christopher,
As GGG suggests above, I would keep the old shell that looks better, and transfer the new guts to it.
Might take some doing, depends how important it is to you if you want to spend that time/effort or not.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
