Default XK8 in TN

Hi all,

I am a recent owner of a pre-owned XK8. I am usually a VW guy and was starting to shop for a TDI Sportswagen. Then, on a whim, as an English guy living in the US, I thought it would be fun to search for a Jaguar. I was surprised at how low used ones were going for. Then I saw some ads for the XK8. I have previously owned a VW Cabriolet and enjoyed the convertible format so before long, I was completing a purchase on an XK8.

Of course, nothing comes perfect so I'm working towards getting it into an acceptable condition. Issues so far:

1)Lighter socket not working. Simple fuse change. Woohoo.
2)Front wheels swapped with rear, rears hard & cracked - New tires & swap
3)Intermittent ASC/Trac not available. Looks like it may have been fixed with 2), waiting to see if recurs.
4)Coolant loss & occasional coolant smell. Didn't notice this when I viewed the car & when my wife went to pick it up, was explained to her as the A/C system using it (or some rubbish). Worried me a little as I have had two cars with blown head gaskets and similar symptoms. However, it appears to be something to do with the cap on the thermostat housing, the little hex hole keeps filling with coolant. So I have a replacement on order.
5)Memory settings do not adjust seats. Need to look into this, the pots perhaps? Not a big issue except my wife keeps borrowing the car.
6)Heated seats not working. Trivial at this point
7)No aux-in on radio. OK, not really an issue but something I intend to fix at some point.

Other than those, really happy so far. Wish it had a manual gearbox though.
